Computers are tools

There was a sensation I felt the first time I used a Mac in a dark basement lab. I poked at the elegant icons with my mouse and dragged windows around the screen. "Oh, I get it. You dont write the programs with this, you just use them!" I suddenly realized that most people would want to use a computer to simply get stuff done. Computers are tools.
