Be warned though, most islands are covered in dense rainforest jungles, there are hardly any roads, limited food supplies, and only a few rat-infested huts to stay in with locals who cant even speak Indonesian.

These islands are home to the most primitive, tattoo-covered natives in Indonesia. So this is no place to try camping in the jungle. We recommend you check the professional yacht tours listed in the back of this book, and avoid unsafe local fishing boats, no mater how cheap they may seem in comparison.
